Langtang Valley Kyanjin Gompa trek
My partner and I completed a 7-day trek to Langtang Valley Kyanjin Gompa with Outdoor Himalayan, who was recommended by our hotel. We chose them because the manager had a thorough understanding of the route.
Our guide, Dilli, was fantastic—knowledgeable, reassuring, and patient. When I experienced altitude sickness while ascending Kyanjin Ri and had to turn back, Dilli provided excellent support and calm. Ganesh, our porter, was also outstanding, and we are very thankful for his help.
Overall, it was a brilliant experience, and we will use their services again in the future.
Tips:
- Confirm multiple times what is included in the price, as this is why we gave a 4/5 rating.
- The road to Syabrubesi is rough regardless of whether you take a private car or bus. We took the bus at the start and a car back; the journey is long and uncomfortable either way. If cost is a concern, the $8 bus is a better choice than the $150 private car, though the car is slightly quicker.
- Request Dilli as your guide and Ganesh as your porter—they were excellent company and very professional.
