Day 01: Kathmandu – Lukla 2840m, (flight) – Phakding 2610m (trek)
Morning flight
to Lukla (35 Mins), trek to Phakding (4-5 Hours easy walk). Night at a local lodge.
Day 02: Phakding - Namche Bazar (3440m)
Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazar which
takes about 6-7 Hours. Walk through the
villages, crossing the suspension bridges. The last part of the day is relatively harder
since we have to count the stairs up. Night at a lodge.
Day 03: Acclimatization day
On this day we will visit Khumjung village (3780m),
or Hotel Everest View, Syangboche
(3810m) to get enough acclimatization with the first view of Mt. Everest, back to
Namche Bazaar overnight.
Day 04: Namche Bazar – Tengboche (3860m)
Walking to Tengboche via local
villages, descending to Dudh Koshi River, and ascending
to Tengboche village takes about 5-6 hours of walking. Visit the Tengboche monastery
aged over 350 years. Night at a tea house.
Day 05: Tengboche – Dingboche (4410m)
Continue walking to Dingboche, which takes
another 6 hours to arrive at the lodge.
Day 06: Acclimatization day
This is another day for acclimatization. On this day
we will visit either at Chhukkung or around, then back to Dingboche for overnight.
Day 07: Dingboche – Lobuche (4910)
On this day we will walk to Lobuche, which
takes another 5-6 Hours walking. Stop by
Thukla for lunch. Night at a tea house in Lobuche.
Day 8: Lobuche - Gorakshep (5140m) - Everest base Camp (5364m) and Back to
Gorakshep
This is an important day for us. Trek starts from Lobuche to Gorakshep
and takes about 3
hours. After a short stop at Gorakshep, we'll keep our big luggage at the lodge and then
hike to Everest Base Camp (5364m). The journey to base camp and return takes about 5-
6 hours. Night at a teahouse in Gorakshep.
Day 9: Gorakshep – Kalapatthar (5555m) Sunrise View- Sharing Helicopter to Lukla
Early morning hike to Kalapatthar (2 Hours) from where we will enjoy a beautiful
panoramic view of sunrise over the big mountain ranges including Mt. Everest, Lhotse,
Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Pumori, etc. From here you will board a shared helicopter to
Lukla. After lunch at Lukla, explore the Sherpa community and local markets.
Day 10: Lukla - Kathmandu (flight)
Take a morning flight to Kathmandu, and
transfer to the hotel. Freshen up and explore
the town on your own, if you wish you can walk to Kathmandu Durbar Square. Farewell
dinner in the evening.
