Wow ! its difficulty to compress all the great experiences I had with Janu, my guide, into a few photographs. I am glad that we selected a different sort of trek in the Ganesh Himal. Janu was an excellent guide/Porter.
We quickly became friends and the trek took its own life with both of us making decisions based not on a plan, but our surroundings and the words of the villagers. The Ganesh Himal was beautiful. Its surprising that more westerners haven’t trekked there. I was more than happy to sacrifice a hot shower and apple pie for something a bit more authentic. I have no complaints at all, and will definitely be recommending Rajendra and Janu to any friends who wish to have some kinds of Himalayan adventure……..
We went to Ghorepani, Tadapani, Jhinu, and Ghandruk. We trekked for 6 days through the most beautiful landscape with outstanding views of Annapurna and Machaputchre. We met some wonderful people and made good friends with whom we hope to keep in touch.
My guide Rammani Rijal was outstanding knowledgeable about the area, mountains, cultural, and every friend to the local people and of course to us. Porter Sambhu was strong enough to carry our bags. We highly recommend Trek with Outdoor Himalayan Treks.
Great trip, great area, great Tour Guide. Manaslu is much less develops then Annapurna and Everest, but also much less crowded. We got good contact with the local people from that area, which was really nice.
If you want the hot shower and much comfort, don’t do Manaslu, if you want to feel the mountain, see real life go for Manaslu. It Great.
Awesome trek! Fantastic landscape! Very good Guide who gave us a lot of information about the area and culture. We could sit at the warm fire in the kitchen, watching how the food was prepared. The food is actually much more tasty and healthy. Thanks, Gopal for your good guidance. Bichari, thanks lot carrying all our stuff and your truly and caring.
I had a wonderful time with a 1-day rafting trip at Trishuli river and 7 days trekking trip to Ghorepani. The views from Poon Hill was amazing. The people and the scenery along the way was an added bonus.
My Guide Navin was excellent. He was very helpful at all the times and was a great person to talk to during the week-long journey. I will always remember my trekking experience here in Nepal. I hope that one day I can return for another Trek.
I found out about the company because my good Costa Rican friend, Ignacio Sanchez, told me great things about Outdoor Himalayan. I was picked up by Jeevan at the airport and he took me to a nice hotel in Kathmandu. My trekking started two days later after catching a taxi from Pokhara to the drop off point where the adventure began. Prakash was my awesome guide who was always interested in my well being. We walked for around 4 days on the great Himalayan foothills and finally reached Ghorepani to enjoy a great sunrise at Poon Hill. It was amazing to see the highest mountains in the world. They make you feel so small and I was particularly impressed by the majestic Annapurna. Prakash always looked after my happiness and meals and I could not have asked for a better companion for this adventure. I also saw buffaloes and it was very interesting to see how local people live in their villages. When the trek was over I spent two more nights at Pokhara and experienced Nepalese New Year there. I definitely recommend this company.
My husband and I enjoyed a fantastic day on the Kathmandu World Heritage Private Tour. Our guide, Hari, was exceptional, with extensive knowledge of Kathmandu’s history and culture. The lunch spot was clean, with a diverse menu at reasonable prices. We highly recommend this tour!
We conducted an impromptu interview with a guide-cum-porter recommended by the company owner and were impressed by his professionalism and approach. Although he was 20% more expensive than a competitor, the experience was worth it. He inspired confidence, ensured we stayed on track to cross Thorong La pass, and recommended a simplified itinerary that made the trip more manageable and satisfying. We can’t imagine hiking in Nepal without him. For future trips, it might be wise to have a heli-rescue service and keep our credit card handy for emergencies.
We had an amazing 5-day trek to Poon Hill (3210m) with Outdoor Himalayan Treks, where the panoramic views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Peaks were breathtaking. Despite our short time in Nepal, their excellent arrangements made our 11 days unforgettable. Everything was well-organized from our arrival in Kathmandu to Pokhara and the trek itself. Our guide, Dilli Lamsal, made the journey enjoyable and manageable, ensuring great accommodations and food. Thanks to Dilli and Badri Aryal for their exceptional service. I highly recommend this company and Dilli for any trek in the Himalayas.
I was originally planning to do the trek solo, no guide, no porter. but so glad I didn’t. On my second day in Thamel, I inquired with my hotel about trekking companies. They said don’t worry, made a phone call and the 45 minutes late Rammani appears at my hotel. After some wise words, pros and cons, an itinerary to suit my timescale and a reasonable price, I decided to go guided. I gave Rammani my photos, a copy of my documents so he could sort my permits out. He said he’ll return the next afternoon with the permits and introduce me to my guide.
On time, at my hotel and now with my guide Ram who I will be doing the Annapurna Circuit. All permits were sorted, bus tickets, 2 nights a really nice hotel in Pokhara and a returning coach to Kathmandu.
I was really pleased how the whole trip went and was massively impressed with my guide Ram who’s English was magnificent and knowledge of the area and 30 years experience proved priceless.
If you want a headache and stress-free trek, I could not recommend getting in contact with Rammani who sort it all out so you can enjoy time in Nepal
In our early sixties and new to trekking, we were initially nervous, but our experience was fantastic thanks to Ramchandra. His excellent English and organizational skills made our trip memorable, and we learned so much about Nepal and its people. Despite the challenging steps, the stunning mountains and rivers were worth every effort. Ramchandra was an exceptional guide, adapting our final trek day to our needs with ease. Ramesh, our porter, handled our heavy bags with a smile up the steepest hills. We highly recommend them and look forward to joining them for the Mustang trek in the future. Many thanks and namaste! — Will and Mary
My father and I just completed the Everest Base Camp trek with Outdoor Himalayan Treks, and I can’t praise Raj, Badri, and our guide Dilli enough. From handling countless pre-trip emails to ensuring a smooth experience throughout, they were incredibly helpful and attentive.
When my dad was injured and needed helicopter evacuation from Namche, Dilli and Badri were quick to respond, arranging everything and even accompanying us to the clinic. Their genuine concern for our well-being was deeply appreciated. I would request Dilli as a guide for our next trip.
Thank you, Dilli and Badri, for your outstanding care. We look forward to returning in the future!
My friends and I completed the 3 High Passes Trek with Outdoor Himalayan Treks, and Badri, Ram, and Prakash were fantastic. Our guide, Prakash, was incredibly knowledgeable and felt like family by the end of the trek. I’m already planning to return next year to complete another section of the Base Camp trek with this team. Their professionalism and helpfulness made everything seamless. See you again next year!
I give Outdoor Himalayan Treks a solid 5 stars! Prakash and Badri provided top-notch service, going the extra mile for our group. The trek was amazing—just check out my photos to see how incredible it was. For an unforgettable experience, choose Outdoor Himalayan Treks for the 3 Passes Everest trek.
I recently trekked to Everest Base Camp with Outdoor Himalayan Treks alongside a group of six Aussie mates. The hike is challenging, but the stunning views and overall experience make it well worth the effort. I highly recommend taking the time to explore the passes rather than heading straight to base camp—these quieter trails are much more enjoyable!
Our guide, Prakash, blended seamlessly with our group. He was exceptional—answering all our questions, organizing our accommodations and meals, and keeping us on track. He was also a lot of fun to be around and even joined us in Pokhara for a few days after the trek.
Badri and the team at Outdoor Himalayan Treks are top-notch. I can’t recommend them enough!
