Outdoor Himalayan Treks (OHT) is a well-established travel company, run by a local & experienced team, under the registration of the Nepal Government. Our main motto is the customer’s satisfaction with the best possible services with fixed and tailor-made customized trips. Before making any trip booking with us, kindly carefully go through our terms & conditions.

General Booking Conditions

  • Any trips you book with us require a copy of your passport along with an advance payment of 20% of the total trip cost.
  • Once you make your down payment of 20% deposit, it is non-refundable.
  • If you cancel your trip with us after booking, this advance payment is considered a trip cancellation fee.

Bookings (Bhutan &Tibet Tours)

  • You are required to pay the balance amount before 20 days of your departure date if you wish to fly directly to those nations.
  • We reserve our right to cancel your trip if you are unable to make your payment within our specified time.

(Note: Depending on the cost spent, the fund can be transferrable within 3 months of the decision made. The amount of transfer will be decided upon conversation and mutual understanding between OHT & valuable customers).

Note: For credit card payments, a 4% extra will be levied to you for a credit card processing fee.


LAST-MINUTE BOOKING

  • We even accept last-minute bookings for a Nepal trip 1 day before the trip departure dates which also includes day trips and helicopter tours.
  • But, we don’t accept last-minute bookings for Bhutan and Tibet trips.


POSTPONE THE TRIP

Written notice should be sent for the trip postponement if you are unable to travel due to any reason on the scheduled date.


CANCELLATION POLICY

  • 20% of the trip cost will be charged for the confirmed trip getting canceled.
  • 50% of the trip cost will be charged if canceled between 30 to 10 days before the trip departure date.
  • No refund if canceled within 10 days of the trip date or in the case of not showing.
  • Regrettably, in the case where the trek/tour cannot be completed due to the customer’s own problem, sickness, or unfavorable weather, there will be no refund.
  • If the trekking/tour is extended more than the given itinerary extra charge will be applied accordingly.
  • If the agreed trip cannot be organized due to bad weather or any unforeseen events, a similar trip will be organized (in mutual understanding with the travelers).


RISK AND LIABILITIES

The tours in Nepal, China, and Bhutan are strictly conducted under the rules and regulations of the Tourism Board of the respective nations.

  • We are not accountable for any changes or cancellations of the trip due to inevitable situations such as any government restrictions, changes in government policy, natural calamities, political uncertainties, flight delays/cancellations, accidents, etc.
  • Any extra expenses should be borne by clients themselves in these situations. Thus, Travel Insurance is highly commended.


INCOMPLETE TOUR

We are not accountable for any refunds in case of an incomplete tour by clients providing whatever excuses or reasons.


UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES

We arrange another trip in case of cancellation of your trip due to unforeseen circumstances like natural calamities, war, or poor climatic conditions. Your money won’t go in vain and you can still enjoy your trip to the next destination.


TRAVEL INSURANCE

Travel Insurance package is compulsory for all our clients covering medical expenses, personal accidents, emergency evacuations, trip cancellations, loss of gear, natural disasters, and luggage theft or damage.


FLIGHT DELAY/CANCELLATION

Flight delays or cancellations are mostly common during bad weather conditions in regions like Annapurna, Everest, Dolpo, Simikot, and Jumla. Hence, you should carry extra money for your accommodation, and meals to stay in that region in case of delays/cancellations. OHT is not accountable for any of your additional expenses.


DURING THE TOUR

Outdoor Himalayan Treks is not liable for any refunds if you commit any unlawful/illegal act during the tour.


WARNING

Our terms and conditions are valid and applicable if you book your trip with us directly. You are liable to the terms and conditions of a third party or agent if you book your trip with us through them.
