Essential Information

Trekkers must be both physically and mentally fit. This trek is in the mountains where the altitude level rises during the trek as each day passes. Though we only trek up to Namche, the trail structure makes it challenging for trekkers. Hence, the fitness level must be good. Make sure to participate in some physical exercises and short hikes before the start of the trek. Consult with a doctor and take necessary check-ups if necessary.

Skills:

Your familiarity with the mountainous terrain and previous trekking experience will be plus points.

  • Make sure that you are insured against flight cancellations, accidents/injuries, health, emergency evacuation, loss, theft of, or damage of personal belongings.
  • In emergencies, there is an arrangement for a helicopter rescue, medical treatment, and aftercare for you. Your travel insurance company must bear all these costs.

STANDARD SERVICE INCLUSION

  • Accommodation: Basic but comfortable teahouse accommodation during the trek (2 nights); Premium (4-star) accommodation for 2 nights in Kathmandu, on twin sharing basis with Breakfast.
  • Meals: 3 meals per day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) during the trek wich you can shoose from the locally available menu; only breakfast in Kathmandu
  • Transportation: Start of the trek: Kathmandu-Lukla by airplane End of the trek: Namche-Kalapatthar- flyover EBC-Kathmandu by Helicopter Airport – hotel – airport transfers by Private Transportation (arrival & departure)
  • Documentation: Trekking permits (Sagarmatha National Park, TIMS, and Khumbu village entry permit)
  • Human resource: A professional and experienced trekking guide (English-speaking); a porter per two trekkers (carrying up to 25 kg); all the expenses for the guide and porter(s) are covered (wages, accommodation, meals, transportation, insurance, etc.)
  • Tax/Service Charge:  All applicable taxes, service charges, or fees. We hereby guarantee you no ‘hidden charges’ afterward.
  • Complimentary:  Farewell dinner in Kathmandu (authentic Nepalese cuisines with live cultural show or meals of your preference in a descent place in Kathmandu)
  • Emergency Rescue Service: Should any emergency arise during your trek, we will provide prompt and professional rescue and medical services. However, you must be already insured for such emergencies, and your insurance policy must cover helicopter evacuation. Moreover, you should provide your policy details and authorize us to deal directly with your insurance company on your behalf. Please make sure that your insurance will cover helicopter evacuation up to 5500 meters.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01 Kathmandu to Lukla (2860m) flight, trek to Phakding (2610m)

In the morning, make your head towards Tribhuvan International Airport along with a guide. Take a scenic 35-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla airport. Enjoy the phenomenal views of the snow-covered Himalayan Mountains, beautiful landscapes, and valleys. After landing at Lukla, meet the team members. From there, trek to Phakding for about 3/4 hours enjoying the majestic sceneries of the Himalayan mountains. Overnight stay in a teahouse.

Day 02 Phakding to Namche (3440m) trek

The trek starts after breakfast. Pass through the Dudh Koshi river and traverse several villages. Make your way to Monjo which is the entry point of Sagarmatha National Park. Traverse through the park witnessing diverse flora and fauna. Cross the Hillary suspension bridge and climb upward to Namche Bazaar. It takes 5/6 hours to reach Namche. Enjoy the stunning views of Mt. Thamserku. Namche is a beautiful Sherpa capital. Acclimatize properly and take proper rest acclimatizing for the next day’s helicopter tour to Kalapatthar. Overnight stay in a teahouse.

Day 03 Helicopter land at Kalapatthar, fly over to Everest Base Camp, return to Kathmandu

Wake up early and have breakfast. Then, get ready for a helicopter tour. With a guide, go to Namche helipad. Then, start a helicopter ride toward Kalapatthar. After 15 minutes, a helicopter lands at Kalapatthar. Get down at the Kalapatthar viewpoint. Witness the close-up views of Mt. Everest, and surrounding peaks. Finally, your dream comes true, and create some great memories by taking some pictures. Spend a few minutes there and return to the helicopter.

Then, the helicopter flies back to Kathmandu. From the helicopter for one last time enjoy the stunning views of Mt. Everest and the surrounding picturesque beauties. A helicopter flies over the Everest Base Camp. The iconic base camp for passionate trekkers. Relish the fabulous views from the helicopter and admire the surrounding peaks such as Nuptse, Lhotse, Pumori, etc. Return to Kathmandu enjoying beautiful landscapes and picturesque views. Back to the hotel for an overnight stay. A fun-filled 3-day short tour ends here.
