trip Overview

Sarangkot Dhampus Hike 3-day trek covers Sarangkot, Naudanda, and Dhampus; all of which are excellent viewpoints to observe the enticing surroundings of Pokhara valley. You also familiarize yourself with at least two ethnicities along the hiking trail: Damais in Sarangkot, and Gurungs in Dhampus. Picture the unbeatable sunrise and sunset views from Sarangkot and the vicinities of Dhampus. Stand at Naudanda and catch a bird-eye view of Pokhara valley, the serene Phewa Lake, and the villages sitting on the hill slopes around. And Sarangkot Dhampus Hike also allows you to have close-up views of Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).

In the end, you find the space of three days a magnificent sojourn. It makes you appreciate the fine balance between great views and panoramas of nature on the one hand; the villages and local life on the other. And that is what the greater treks in the Annapurna region serve you; a broad, varying canvass of exquisite nature accompanying an equally diverse, myriad culture along the trail. When you are in want of time and energy required for them, a Hike around Pokhara is the best alternative, a perfect miniature of longer Annapurna treks. This Sarangkot Dhampus hike is short, easy, and suitable for all age groups.

Itinerary

4 Hrs Tea House

Start the hike after you have lunch in a good hotel in the lakeside. In about an hour of leisurely walk, you will reach Bagar. From there, another hike of about three hours takes you to Sarangkot, the highest and most famous viewpoint near Pokhara. Both up and down, heart-melting panorama open up in front your eyes. While the views upwards are dominated by the Annapurna Range, downwards lies the Fewa Lake, the city and other mountains. In the evening, walk to the view-tower to enjoy the most memorable sunset of your life. Then return to a teahouse, have dinner and rest for the night.

5 Hrs Tea House

This morning, wake up early to see one of the most exquisite sunrises from the same view tower. You will experience another most unforgettable dawn of your life as you watch the scenery.  Return to the teahouse, have breakfast and hike to Naudanda, another excellent vantage point to view Pokhara valley and the Fewa Lake. From here, we move on to Ghatte Khola, where we have lunch and take a short rest. Then starts the final leg of the hike to Dhampus, a really beautiful village sitting on a hilltop. The village is inhabited by very friendly, warm-hearted Gurungs. In the evening, we will again have another charming sunset view from a viewpoint of the village. We spend night a local tea house.

3 Hrs Hotel

For the best of Mt Fishtail view glimmering in the early sunlight, we get up early in the morning and walk to the viewpoint. Then we take a stroll around the village, observing local shops, local school and daily life of the people living here. Then we return to the teahouse, have breakfast and start a descent to the city. Amazing Experience Hiking Lovely Pokhara, Sarangkot and Dhampus

We came to Nepal for a business meeting. After that, we have leisure time for a week. So, we decided to explore some beautiful places in Nepal. We choose Outdoor Himalayan from Google for our trips. We love Ram’s dealing style and provide us with the itinerary of our choice. We went to Sarangkot Dhampus Hike. It was mind-blowing. All service was good and on time. The sunrise view was stunning. It was 3 days tour but we extend it 2 more days to explore Pokhara. After the trip, one day of Kathmandu sightseeing was also amazing. Overall we cherish this trip forever and highly recommend others to trip with Outdoor.
