Monsoon season (Jun-Aug):
- Lush green beauty in the region
- Mostly Unclear views
- Weather is unpredictable
- The temperature is unstable
- Slippery and muddy trails (with leeches)
- Difficult ground transportation
- High chances of flight cancellations (for Everest Region Trekking)
- Limited availability of teahouses or lodges
The following treks can be done in the Monsoon Season:
Upper Mustang Trek, Dolpo Region Trek, Day hikes around the valley
Winter season (Dec-Feb):
- Chilling cold weather
- Drop in temperature, even minus (-) in the higher elevations
- Heavy snowfall in higher regions but clear views
- Less availability of teahouses or lodges
- Chances of flight cancellations
