On July 18th, Kristin and Tenjen successfully scaled G1, a historic achievement and their 12th peak above 8000 meters. Undeterred by their recent triumph, the duo displayed incredible determination and skill, reaching another milestone just five days later. At approximately 4:30 am on July 23rd, Kristin and Tenjen conquered the formidable Broad Peak, standing tall at 8,051 meters. This further solidified their legacy by conquering the 13th peak above 8000 meters. With just one more mountain to surmount, their ambitious quest to conquer 14 peaks above this challenging altitude nears its grand conclusion.
In just under 3 months, Kristin and Tenjen accomplished an astonishing feat, ascending 13 peaks above 8000 meters. It took them a remarkable 2 months and 26 days to achieve this impressive record. Kristin and Tenjen along with their amazing team faced a tough challenge when they conquered Broad Peak. Even though they had just summited two other mountains (Gasherbrum I and Gasherbrum II) in the past week, they didn’t back down. In the face of challenging conditions, Kristin and Tenjen displayed remarkable courage and determination. Their ability to thrive even in the most difficult situations was truly inspiring.
Kristin and Tenjen are on a mission to create a new world record by achieving the fastest ascent of all 14 peaks. Kristin and Tenjen’s determination and passion to push boundaries serve as an inspiration for others to pursue their dreams. Having conquered Broad Peak, they now have their eyes set on the final peak K2 (8,611 m), indicating the end of their extraordinary journey.
