Good News!! New Trekking Route announces in Okhaldhunga. Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Minister Sudhan Kirati officially announced a new trekking route in Khijidemba Rural Municipality of Okhaldhunga during a program in Nepal.
The program showcased a video highlighting the promotion of a golf course survey conducted at Tholedemba Danda, situated at an altitude of 3,350 meters in Okhaldhunga. The objective of this initiative is to enhance sports tourism in the region. The video was presented in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board and Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN), along with the active participation of Khijidemba Rural Municipality.
Minister Kirati has announced a new three-day trekking route, starting from Pokali Jharana (130m). It traverses through Chilim Danda, Lamjeboudha, Chulithan, Gauriban, Dobate Bhanjyang, Khijichandeshwari, Khijiphalate, Chuplu Bhanjyang, and concluding at Tholedemba (3,350m). He also announced the new trek route which leads to Everest Base Camp via Thodedemba, Pikey, and Dudhkunda Himal.
Minister Kirati emphasized the designation of areas like Tholedemba as tourism zones, intending to uplift the nation’s economic status through policy reforms and efficient budget management. Furthermore, he expressed plans for the immediate operation of Khijichandeshwari Airport.
Gambu Sherpa, the Chairman of the Rural Municipality, emphasized the importance of provincial and federal budget planning to support tourism and agriculture, along with the municipality’s strategic policies. Further, he emphasized the identification of new trek routes and showcasing effective budget management for the promotion of Khijidemba.
