Trip Overview
Parchamo Peak Ascent combines the twin adventures of Tashi Lapcha Pass (5755m) and the climbing of the peak itself, in immediate succession. Parchamo (6273m) also combines two fabulous Himalayan trekking regions of Nepal, the Rolwaling and the Khumbu areas, in a single route. It satisfies your longing for an adventure experience that goes above the level of high mountain treks. It also brings the taste of mountaineering as well. Both the high pass and the Peak at one single route, and an intimate glance through an off-side entry into Khumbu—these are the central attractions of Parchamo peak climbing.
Parchamo, a gem of a trekking peak hidden in the border of Rolwaling and Khumbu regions, introduces you with the untrodden bastions of the high hill and Himalayan rural life of Nepal, together with its diverse scenes, ecology, and ecosystems. We drive to Charikot, the district headquarters of Dolakha district from Kathmandu; and start a fabulous trek through the Tama Koshi valley towards Rolwaling valley.
Rolwaling valley is dominated by Mt Gaurishankar, the spectacular triple-tipped peak. As we head further, we reach into some Sherpa heartlands, explore their lifestyle and culture firsthand. Then comes the Tashi Lapcha Pass (5755m). Just when this adventure is over, we reach the base camp of Parchamo peak. We establish one high camp above the base camp and attempt the summit from there. Namche Bazaar is the gem of the Everest region. It is only at a distance of two days’ trek from the base camp of the peak. We thus explore the famed Himalayan terrain from entirely new routes, collecting unique trekking and climbing experiences to last for our life.
