Shisapangma (8013m) is the 14th-highest mountain that falls in the Langtang and Jugal Himal ranges. It lies directly to the north of Kathmandu along the Nepal-China border. It is the highest and most spectacular peak in Tibet. In the Tibetan language, it is the ‘Gods of Grasslands’. A vertically standing spire towering towards the sky whose majesty lures mountaineers from around the world. Although it refers to an easy climb among the world’s venerated 8000-meter peaks, the Shisapangma expedition requires great endurance. Outdoor Himalayan Treks organizes a fully equipped, careful, and safe Shisapangma Expedition. We have an experienced Sherpa climbing guide.

Trip Overview
Although Shisapangma is in Tibet, it is an easily accessible mountain from Kathmandu. It is accessible within a day’s drive from here. We establish the base camp at an altitude of 5,000 meters. And we establish the Advanced Base Camp at about 5400 meters. Yak support is available from base camp to Advanced Base Camp. After the Advanced Base Camp, establish the other three higher camps before attempting the summit. Onwards from the second higher camp, the route gets quite challenging. It requires you to climb through a deep ditch in a vertical plain. After the third higher camp, climbers need to climb a very sharp, knife-edged ridge to reach the summit. Once you stand at the summit, the panorama is heavenly: you see the entire Langtang and Jugal range peaks glitter in their stark Himalayan beauty.
