Happiest Trek of my Life

When searching for a trekking company, I found this one to be exceptionally attentive and genuinely caring about my personal journey. My guide, Tek Prasad Adhikari, was incredibly caring, with excellent English and a reassuring presence. He accommodated my pace and made me feel safe as a solo woman trekker. Tek’s passion for wildlife and his friendly demeanor made the trek enjoyable. The lodges were basic but hosted by lovely people, and the food was plentiful. A suggestion for improvement would be to offer a complimentary cup of hot tea with each meal. Special thanks to Badri Aryal for his responsiveness and to porter Santosh Basnet for his excellent care and reliability. Namaste!

Looking for a tour company Look no further

I discovered Outdoor Himalayan Trek through a blog while planning a leisure trip to Nepal, India, and Bhutan. Despite not knowing anyone who had used their services, I decided to reach out. Raj was incredibly responsive and accommodating, handling numerous questions and tailoring our itinerary to our needs. The 15-day trip was flawlessly organized and worry-free. Raj and our Nepal guide, Badri, were always available via WhatsApp for support. While we had some issues with guides in India (a partner company), Raj quickly addressed them. Overall, we were very satisfied with Outdoor Himalayan and would gladly use them again.

Two amazing treks with Outdoor Himalayas

I had two amazing treks with Outdoor Himalayan Treks in 2018. On the first occasion, my wife and I went to Manaslu Circuit in May 2018 and in December 2018, went to Jiri from Gokyo. The dealings with Mr. Rammani Rijal were better as he was extremely trustworthy and honest.

My guide Rupak Rimal is fantastic and you can trust him. He saved me from an enormous rock fall while crossing the Larke La Pass. I will strongly recommend going with Rupak for a safe, fun-filled, and memorable trek. The Company is professional and trustworthy and it appears that they take good care of their employees as well. I also found that the rates charged by the company are competitive and their services excellent.

Overall you can trust the Outdoor team with your money, time, and holiday. Rupak, Ram, and other members of Outdoor Himalayan went out of their way to make us feel not like regular customers but as part of their family. So a big thank you.

Amazing holiday

Outdoor Himalayan Treks provided an exceptional five-star experience. Badri, our main contact, went above and beyond, ensuring everything was perfect from arrival to departure. We opted for a short trek in Annapurna, where the stunning scenery spoke for itself. Our guide, Krishna, was highly professional and passionate, while porter Madhabe carried our luggage with a smile and shared interesting stories. The service was personal, attentive, and flexible. I highly recommend Outdoor Himalayan Treks for a hassle-free, memorable adventure in Nepal.

3 high pass and EBC

I recently completed the 18-day Three High Passes and Everest Base Camp trek, and I was thoroughly impressed by the flexibility and attentiveness to our needs throughout the journey. The communication from start to finish was excellent—every question was answered promptly, and we received valuable advice on everything from packing to dining.

Our guide, Rupak, and porter, Kittyman, were exceptional. They were easygoing, spoke great English, and were always up for a joke. I highly recommend requesting them by name for any trek.

I wholeheartedly recommend this company for any trek in Nepal. Thank you so much—AAAAAA+++++!

Woderful Experience with Wondreful People

To write that everything was wonderful during my trek with Outdoor Himalayan Treks would be a huge understatement. The great experience started even before coming to Nepal. I contacted Badri while still in my home country and he instantly wrote me back with a couple of trekking routes of various lengths and difficulties. We exchanged a couple of e-mails to discuss my expectations (Badri being extremely patient and understating). As it was my first time in Nepal and I was a bit limited by time but at the same time wanted to make the most of my stay and visit many places, I decided for only a six-day trek in the Annapurna Conservation Area – easy to moderate with everyday up and down walks and stunning views of beautiful mountains once hiding and then suddenly revealing themselves. The highlight was a spectacular panoramic view of Gangapurna, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Dhaulagiri and Hiunchuli Mountain (observed from Poon Hill during a sunrise). My guide was Krishna, an extremely experienced, professional and knowledgeable guy always making sure the pace of the trek was right, the food was fresh and tasty and the tea houses we stayed at hospitable and with family like atmosphere. He was also very flexible, as my pace was rather faster than slower and I wanted to walk more, he agreed for our everyday portions of trek to be extended. I should also mention Madhabe, the porter, always smiling and cheerful. I wish to thank them both. My special thanks go to Badri who at every stage of my Nepal adventure made sure everything was going right and smooth, I felt happy and didn’t need anything. Outdoor Himalayan Treks is a team of professional, hospitable, reliable and kind people whom I can also call friends. I will definitely go back for a longer and higher trek and I definitely want to do it with Outdoor Himalayan Treks. Highly recommended.

Everest View Trek with Outdoor Himalayan Treks

Booked the trek through my hotel in Kathmandu- Kumari Boutique Hotel which I rate very highly. The scenery was spectacular as were the views of the snow-capped mountains. Reaching Tengboche and viewing Everest and the monastery was the highlight as well as meeting a host of climbers along the way at the tea houses every night. My guide Krishna made sure my pace was good and arranged good rooms at the Tea Houses. The dealings with Badri was good and he even rang during the trek to make sure everyone was enjoying it. Strongly recommended.

Annapurna Circuit with Trustworthy guide

I spent 18 days on the Annapurna circuit and I got to see and experience a lot. I am young and able-bodied and did not see much use for a guide or a porter on such a well-established trekking route. Reluctantly, I decided to be cautious as this circuit has its horror stories.

I met Rupak, the guide, on a Monday. By Tuesday, he was Rupak the friend. Someone I could trust instantly to have my back in times of trouble or when feeling uneasy.

I met many, MANY Trekkers along the circuit and most of them had guides. Those that didn’t spend a lot of time backtracking and looking silly, as the beginning stages of the trek are not very well marked and many trails lead to dead-ends (caused by landslides/earthquakes) or someone’s home :). It really matters to have a guide you can trust to be honest, helpful, and can speak English like they are from the west.

THIS IS IMPORTANT: most Trekkers who had a problem with their Nepali guides complained mostly of trust. All the guides will tell you that they do not drink and they do not smoke.. but when they arrive at the day’s end, they retreat to the kitchen for free wine and often drink far too much making the wake up call in the morning difficult and, as altitude increases and the temperatures decrease, they tend to get sick easily making life more difficult for you.. The Trekker.

Rupak does not have this problem, and because of his honesty and integrity, several Trekkers fired there guides midway and attached themselves to my party.

He gives you space when you need it. He takes care of all arrangements and negotiates on my behalf. He truly cared about my enjoyment and about my personal quest.

Bottom line, when you trek… You trek to feel independent and free. You don’t need a guide 100% of the time… But when you do… You need a great guide. One you can trust. One who knows the way. One with patience and a passionate love for the mountains and its people. You need someone who you can count on when a situation arises or danger is imminent.

The only choice is Rupak Rimal and he is THE guide to have in Nepal.

Great Trek with Dilli

We just returned from an amazing adventure to Everest Base Camp with our wonderful guide, Dilli from Outdoor Himalayan Treks. Dilli was friendly, competent, and very fun. He was organized and booked great lodges for us to stay along the way. Dilli had planned a 12-day trek for us, but was flexible when we were moving faster than expected, and cut it down to 11 days. He was also very concerned about our well-being, continuously checking in with us about our health and enjoyment of the trip. We really enjoyed his company and I would highly recommend Dilli as a Guide if you were to travel to EBC or any other trek in Nepal.

Upper Mustang trek

It was a first-time trek in Nepal for my friend and me and I have to say that both of us were highly satisfied. From the beginning, the communication with the agency was very fast and efficient. When we arrived in Kathmandu everything was arranged, so the very next day we kick off on the trip. Our guide Mr Gokarna took care virtually about everything and managed the whole trek excellently. We started in Pokhara and in spite of bad weather and cancelled flight we managed to finish the whole 12 day trip on time. The trip itself felt really like an experience from past times even thou the Mustang area is being developed and modernised quite quickly. Our guide apart from being a guide and manager of the trip was also a very good companion for the whole day and explained us many topics from the local area and many details about life in Nepal.

I must say that so far I have been travelling on my own and this was the first time I went with an agency but from the beginning to the end of the trip everything was really professional.
If I go to Nepal next time surely Outdoor Himalayan Treks will be my choice.
