Blog-Traveling in Nepal: Langtang Valley. Langtang Valley is situated  north of Kathmandu Valley, bordering Tibet. The region includes Langtang National Park containing diverse climatic zones sub-tropical  and alpine. We can find huge deciduous oak trees, maple trees, evergreen pines and rhododendron in this region. The fauna is equally diverse with animals like Himalayan Black Bear, Thar, Rhesus monkeys and Red Pandas. It is important to note that countless folklore about the mighty Yeti have origins at this place. In addition, the park is home to the famous Gosainkunda Lake.
